Hello, neighbors!
On Wednesday, January 18th, we held our first meeting for the new Simplified Accountability Structure. We started by electing Paul Salow as our chair for what we are now calling the Leadership Team.
The team wanted to let everyone know that we will be meeting on the third Wednesday of each month at 7pm here at the church. Meetings are open to anyone who wants to attend, but we may have to go into a closed session which you cannot be in. Don’t worry if you can’t attend because we will be sharing regular communication with the neighborhood regarding what goes on in our meetings.
Finally, if you have concerns, comments, thoughts, or questions you would like to ask, then please feel free to speak with any team members or Pastor Matt. In case you forgot, here is a list of our new team members…

As a team, we ask that you pray for the team members and work they must do this year to keep our church moving forward. Great things are ahead for this church, and it will take everyone in the neighborhood to make it happen. We got the ball rolling in 2022 and now we have to keep the momentum going in 2023!

The Leadership Team
Abigayle Cryderman graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2016, receiving her B.S. in Dance Performance & Choreography and Communication. Abigayle continued her education at Wayne State University where she received her Masters in Teaching Artistry in the spring of 2021. She teaches at two Metro-Detroit dance studios, and continues her training by attending classes and conventions outside of school. Abigayle currently serves as a board member on Milan Main Street and loves being involved with the community. Before moving to Milan, Abigayle was the Director of Client Experience at a local Ann Arbor Pilates studio. She is excited to be part of the Marble Memorial UMC team!
Lisa has served Marble as its Administrative Assistant since 2009. Prior to joining the church staff, Lisa worked many years in the safety and security field working at Domino’s Pizza Corporate before taking time out to care for family.
Lisa is an active member of Marble’s Chancel Choir and Handbell Choir and feels blessed to be able to serve her church through her work in the church office. Lisa and her family are also actively involved with the Arthritis Foundation of Michigan.
Lisa and her husband, Kevin, have two children, Joshua and Katherine, both in college.

Pastor Matt has been a pastor since 2018 and has been a part of the United Methodist Church for several years and grew up in Boyne City attending the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He has been involved in district and local youth ministry since joining the UMC. Pastor Matt worked at Marshall High School for 12 years before coming on staff at Marshall UMC. It was while he was working at Marshall UMC as the Discipleship Director that he received his calling into pastoral ministry. He most recently served as Pastor at Girard UMC for the past 2 years before coming here to Milan this July.
